Applicable Patent Policies

ANSI has a patent policy that must be followed when a developer intends to submit the standard to ANSI for approval as an American National Standard.

If the standard is being developed for approval by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) or the International Telecommunications Union, then the current Patent Policy for the ITU-T/ITU-R/ISO/IEC must be followed.
